Beware of Conficker C
Every few years security experts are racing against time to mitgate the impact of a bit of malware whitch is set to wreak havoc on a hard-coded date. Often the date is April 1. Malware creators love to target April Fool's Day with their wares, and the latest worm, called Conficker C, could be one of the most damaging attacks we've seen in years. Conficker first bubbled up in late 2008 and began making headlines in January as known infections topped 9 million computers. Now in its third variant, Conficker C, the worm has grown incredibly complicated, powerful, and virulent.
The "D-Day" should be the April 1, but no one is really sure when it will be exactly! So be careful and keep your Antivirusprogram up to date!

SSD Drives, GB up – Price down
Today is a SSD (Solid State Disc) affordable but compared with a common 2,5” HDD still expensive. You can have ha 320GB or even a 500GB 2,5” HDD only for some bucks more than a 250GB drive. But an SSD would cost more than twice as much.
A quite cheap SSD with good transfer rates is about 30GB which you can have for about $100. But in the next few years that will change. The manufacturers expect SSD prices hit the same level as hard drives of the same capacity in the near future. And a 256GB SSD will be available this year but still for a high price I think.

Online Ticket Service
The winter get to its end, the snow melt away and the nature awakes. People are more active and looking for some fun and pleasure and many music bands all over the world starting their tour 2009. So now is the right time to make your reservation for your tickets.
One of my favorites is U2, and believe it or not they are around for nearly 30 years, still with a strong performance. That is one reason why it is so though to get some tickets to a concert. The best chance to get some U2 tickets is with GET ME IN! As the leading marketplace in Europe where you can sell or buy e.g. U2 tickets in a safe and guaranteed way.

Intel vs. AMD - Next Round
Intel sent a notice to Advanced Micro Devices that AMD has breached a patent cross-licensing agreement from 2001. The agreement covered royalty payments by AMD in regards to aspects of the x86 instruction set used in CPUs, as well as foundry and production rights.
AMD defended itself, with Harry Wolin, AMD's Senior Vice President and General Counsel, stating that Intel's unilateral "purported attempt to terminate the Company’s rights and licenses under the Cross License itself constitutes a material breach of the Cross License by Intel".
Under the terms of the license agreement, the notification to AMD means the two parties will attempt to resolve the dispute through third party mediation. Otherwise Intel could shut down AMD´s CPU production completely in two month.

Schumachers Mercedes Benz
Nearly every body in the world (where cars are known) knows the name Mercedes Benz. In fact it is perhaps the most famous name associated with German automobile manufacture. But Mercedes Benz is not only a name of a company manufacturing cars it is also a synonym for high quality and durability and even luxury.
So nowadays a Mercedes Benz is maybe the best car you can get for your money. It is not only the modern dynamic style of the car, the high quality but also the feeling of safety while siting inside. But why I should now talk long around? The best is you will have a look and visit Phoenix Mercedes Benz. Mr. Schumacher it selfs will guide you and introduce the new cars to you.

Turbo-Charging Batteries
I´m sure that everybody knows that charging batteries take some time - that means some hours. But now MIT professor Gerbrand Ceder and fellow researcher Byoungwoo Kang have developed a battery material they say can both discharge and recharge its energy up to 100 times faster than of today´s batteries. So we could be able to charge a cellphone battery within a few seconds. That also could help to develop cars powered with batteries. They developed a new lithium iron phosphate particles in a glassy film (lithium pyrophosphate) just a few nanometers thick. New batteries should be available within 2 or 3 years.

CeBit 2009 Results
The CeBit in Hannover (Germany) is now over and with 400,000 visitors there were 100,000 less than last year, that is a loss of 20 per cent. Also the exhibitors (4300 companies) dropping around 20 per cent on last year.
But the tune is quite positive. The visitors say "It is not so overcrowded" And the exhibitors say "We have now more quality instead of quantity and our orders books are well inked" - so everybody is satisfied.
Some 100 political delegations also jumped on the IT bandwagon to spend some time in Hangover for the show.
But in fact there was nothing really new this time.

First Dual 1366 Socket Main Board
So have a look at the first dual 1366 socket main board from Asus.
This ASUS main board is in 12'' x 9.6'' ATX form factor. Among the features highlighted by the manufacturer, I can count the fact that it is the first dual processor ATX motherboard in the world, which fits perfectly into any standard PC chassis.
In addition, it has 24+8 pin power connector with support for both ATX and SSI power supplies. The standard ATX power supply is meant to reduce the costs, while the server SSI power supply is able to deliver enhanced performance and expandability. Moreover, the board allows for a wide range of processors and memory modules to be installed.
The ASUS Z8NA-D6 motherboard is able to provide support for next-generation Intel Quad-Core Xeon 5500 series processors, and features the Intel 5500 chipset + ICH10R. The memory options range from 48GB RDIMM to 24GB UDIMM, with or without ECC, DDR3 800/1066/1333 RDIMM/UDIMM.
The expansion slots available on the board include one PCI-Express x16 slot (x16Link), two PCI-Express x8 slots (x4Link), one PIKE slot for storage expansion, as well as one MID slot for a discrete audio card. There are six SATA2 300MB/s ports, and the mobo supports software RAID 0, 1, 10 and 5. It also features LSI MegaRAID for both Linux and Windows, with support software for RAID 0, 1 and 10.

CeBit News - Dual Screen Laptop
Dan Ackerman spotted this dual-screen laptop concept from Asus at German CeBit 2009, and it certainly is an interesting approach to personal computing. The device is a laptop with two displays instead of a traditional screen and keyboard — what the company calls “a revolutionary dual-panel concept notebook.”
Yes, that is a Notebook! Thats really revolutionary and I´m sure there will be a time where we will neet only one ´book´ instead of many.
Asus warned that “the concept is still a work-in-progress which requires continued feedback,”
however it is very interesting and I´m sure there will be more of them in the future.

Comparing Webhoster
Nearly every day I get advertisings from a webhoster with new conditions. In every computer magazine you can read several of ads. The big problem is to make a comparison between all the hoster, because you know it is not only the price that counts. So if you don´t want waste your time you should have a look at WHC comparison site. With that service you are able to compare different hosting providers within a view minutes instead of many hours. You will also find there Reviews written by other users and their opinion or experience with that provider so you can be sure that the providers are already proved.

AMD´s Six-Core CPU
AMD will bring out the new six-core Istanbul processor in early 2009. The chip manufacturer plans to switch to the SOI (silicon-on-insulator) 45-nanometer process. Also the server CPU Barcelona will undergo the same 45-nanometer SOI process and will transform into the upcoming Shanghai.
According to the die-shot, you can see here, the new AMD chip will feature 6 MB of L3 cache shared among all the cores.
Depending on the CPU socket the CPU will come with either DDR2 or DDR3 support. Each core will have 512KB of L2 cache. The L1 cache is 256KB.

MS Vista SP2
According to my sources the Windows team is readying the second service packs (SP2) for Vista and for its server complement. It should be delivered before the release of Windows 7.
The SP2 Release Candidate boasts new hardware and application compatibility support, more enterprise features, support for "emerging standards", and setup and deployment upgrades.
The SP2 includes no fewer than 691 hotfixes, integration of the Hyper-V virtualisation environment, backwards compatibility for Terminal Server licence keys, and improved power management features on both the server and the desktop. Microsoft also said that it has included a cleanup tool for recovering hard disk space used by previous Vista updates, and Windows Search 4.0.
