Apple has been guarded about adding iPhone apps that perform functions its built-in features handle: The absence of third-party choice in browsers is one good example. Yet, although there's hardly a more core function of the device than making calls, a few VoIP apps have made the cut. Now you can include Skype in that number. Why is Skype for iPhone (and iPod Touch) a big deal? Consider this: On a recent bus ride from New York to Boston, I found that the vehicle had its own Wi-Fi signal. So, if I'd wanted to, I could have talked with my friend in London for free during the whole journey. iPhone users can now make free calls anywhere they have WiFi access, without lugging a laptop. And they still get Skype's trademark slick interface design and clear call quality.

I think Skype is just great. I have it installed on my laptop and I can talk to my mom for as long and as often I want for just 10 bucks a month. Love it.
Great. This is one thing I had been waiting since my purchase of iphone. Some times it seemed that I have not made the right decision, purchasing an iphone. But hope further developments like this can make it more practical.
Skype is a great program, but carriers see it as a threat especially in areas with great WiFi coverage.
I already installed it in my nokia 95 phone, the quality of voice is quite dissapointing.
Maybe broadband here in Malaysia is not capable to handle larger badnwitdh.
I do agree with this, Skype really allows us to save a fortune by enjoying clear long distance calls for free.

This is a great news for iPhone owners who are also avid Skype users...now they can login on their Skype directly..anywhere, anytime!
Every few years security experts are racing against time to mitgate the impact of a bit of malware whitch is set to wreak havoc on a hard-coded date. Often the date is April 1. Malware creators love to target April Fool's Day with their wares, and the latest worm, called Conficker C, could be one of the most damaging attacks we've seen in years. Conficker first bubbled up in late 2008 and began making headlines in January as known infections topped 9 million computers. Now in its third variant, Conficker C, the worm has grown incredibly complicated, powerful, and virulent.
I agree. Skype is a great program and very useful.
