Spyware is software that has been created to track and report what you do on the computer and submit it to the "creator".
Some of the "worst" spyware will actually search your hard drive for personal information, like credit card numbers, bank accounts, passwords, and other confidential information. So you can get in deep trouble.

I hate that we even have to worry about things like this, but I guess that is the way it goes in this high tech world.
Slowly and steadily users are getting to know the repercussions of SpyWare!
We should keep patience on slowly an d steady race.
Users are knowing its consequence and thus it will definitely go high to this high tech world.
In working with students and online users, I have watched spyware grow from a marginal problem that once affected only a small number of users who unwittingly installed advertising supported freeware (often called "adware") to a commercial plague of aggressive "hijackware" that now afflicts the majority of the PCs of users who request help from me.
I've had a spyware in my pc a few months back that seemed to pop up every now and then, telling me that my pc needs to buy a software to prevent it from getting worse. It turned out to be a virus.
I was really glad I got rid of it.
A lot of people had been victims of spyware middle of last year, so I guess we are conscious and have secured our pc's for further hassles.
Happy New Year!!
