The next Ubuntu version 8.10 coming in 15 days. I look forward to the new version because the new Kernel 2.6.27 supports also the new w-lan (-n) which you can find in new centrino2 Notebooks.

I tried ubuntu last march and pushed myself to the limit to try and totally depend n it and forget about windows xp, but i failed, it is not that i have tons of different applications that just wouldn't run properly on it, its many other things.
I assure you, the first 3 to 6 days were amazing adding things and tweaking stuff here and there and reading up on different tips and tutorials but after all that I still was not able to live with it.
Its a sad story because i wanted it to work, now i donno why i wrote all this in this comment, lol, but maybe i just wished i had your enthusiasm for their latest release.
I still keep XP for game and exercise while using Ubuntu for bloging and surf the web.
