Hewlett-Packard launched a couple of consumer desktops with features that reduce the negative impact PCs have on the environment. The HP Pavilion Verde Special Edition a6645f and the Pavilion Phoenix Special Edition a6655f include energy-efficient processors from Advanced Micro Devices and 100% recyclable packaging with less plastic foam. The systems' power management features provide up to 45% energy savings compared to HP desktops without the features enabled.
