Supercomputer goes Green

The new Green500-List evaluates supercomputers after arithmetic performance and power requirement. After now in this year with the new IPCC report to climate warming and the constantly rising energy prices the topic of the energy efficiency became also regarding computers an important topic, a list of the supercomputers, which use at few the river, might come at the right time. For Feng the development follows moorland ashes the law of the current consumption of more efficient supercomputers still. Already since 2001 Feng in its Institute pursues the project Supercomputing in Small spaces, in which some years ago energy-most efficient supercomputer “Green Destiny” developed.
So even the manufacturer of supercomputers now have to watch this part :)
