I play Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing (MMORPG) games now for years. The first one was Anarchy Online (AO) and than World of Warcraft (WoW) and Everquest 2 (EQ2). But the real fun starts with a higher level character and a good equipment. The problem is with a low level character you cant afford it because you lack in gold or other in game currency. Maybe if you are a lucky one a high player give you a few bugs but to ask other player for money is not popular. The demand for virtual money and other stuff is so high, that some smart guys build up real marketplaces where you can trade or buy virtual stuff for your online game. Just think about it the biggest MMORPG WoW with over 9 million players worldwide and there are so many others well known MMORPGs. But would you pay for some virtual good at an online auction? So if you want to be sure, that you really get your wow gold you had paid for you should do it on a professional online market place. And on what kind of things you have to look for to choose the right one? They should have a good customer service (I prefer 24/7) a fast delivery speed and of course a competitive price.

I haven't been active in wow in about 6 months now.. basically waiting for the new expansion to come out and to get those greens to replace my epics lol.
It is difficult to first get started, buying gold or equipment can be a good way to help you catch up in a game that has been going for years and years.
I can remember back in Everquest 1, selling rubicite and other armors on eBay (back when that was still possible) There is a real thriving economy of people buying selling online right now.
