New liquid cooling system

Sun patents new liquid cooling system. Sun Microsystems received the patent for a new liquid cooling system, which gets along without moved mechanical parts. The closed system consists of a periodic, micro-magnetic field. This causes the compression of blisters integrated into the coolant, which arrive thereby in rotation and cause a pump effect. Thus the liquid flows by the system and transports the heat of the hot chip surface to the cooling fins.
The advantages of the new cooling system are to consist on the one hand of the fact that it possesses no mechanically mobile parts and thus almost wear and noise-free works. On the other hand it is to use also less energy than conventional systems.
